    Alaric acts for developer clients on both commercial and residential property developments. He has expertise in the drafting and negotiation of construction documentation and is advising on a number of major construction projects in the Sheffield City Region He also acts for lenders and borrowers in relation to development funding. His clients include landlords and tenants, and buyers and sellers of commercial properties – whether for occupation or investment.

    With over 18 years’ experience as a paralegal, Alison has been a key member of our team. She acts for existing and new clients including property developers and investors on all aspects of residential conveyancing.

  • Alison Teasdale

    Alison is a Conveyancing Executive within our Residential Conveyancing Department. She specialises in advising on sales and purchases of residential properties, remortgages and transfers of equity.

    Alison was admitted as an Associate of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2012 and has a wealth of experience in residential property transactions, having been around private practice since leaving school in 1987. Alison joined the practice in 2006 and is based at our Doncaster office.

    Alison prides herself on providing a professional and personal service together with recommendations from local Estate Agents and repeat business for clients who continue to ask her to represent them.

  • Amelia Goodair

    Amelia is currently working in our Construction Team within the Commercial Property department, where she assists in various litigious and advisory aspects of construction law.

    After completing a Law with Criminology (LLB Hons) degree at Sheffield Hallam University, Amelia joined Keebles in 2016 as a Personal Injury Paralegal and became a member of our Commercial Property team in 2017.

  • Andrew Broadbent

    Andrew specialises in dealing with commercial disputes in various divisions of the High Court and County Court. His specific areas of expertise include engineering, manufacturing, IT, defamation, shareholders and contractual disputes.

    Andrew is a Litigation and Dispute Resolution Associate, having been with the firm since 2011. Prior to joining Keebles, he was a professional footballer with Sheffield Wednesday F.C.

    As a key member of the firm’s Healthcare and Sports Sector Groups, Andrew regularly advises clients in these areas.

  • Andrew Donaldson

    Andrew has trained in our Insolvency and Commercial Property departments. Prior to joining the firm he worked in London as a litigation paralegal.

    Andrew joined the firm in 2017 as a trainee solicitor. He graduated his LL.B (Hons) in 2013 at Leicester University and his LL.M LPC in 2014.

    Andrew is an assistant in the residential property team and provides support for the team in connection with the sale, purchase, transfer of equity and re-mortgage of all forms of residential property. He supports Bonita Wolfenden.

    With over 4 years’ experience as residential property assistant Andrew has been a key member of our team since 2013.

  • Andrew McKenzie Smith

    Andrew specialises in advising and representing clients in general commercial disputes, with a particular emphasis on matters involving property. He leads the firm’s Property Litigation team and has a wealth of experience in all aspects of property and commercial lease disputes.

    Andrew acts for both landlords and tenants across a number of sectors in relation to renewal and termination of business leases, recovery of rents and other charges, dilapidations, and the interpretation and enforcement of lease covenants.

    He also advises property owners, developers and investors on a wide variety of property matters including: boundaries, restrictive covenant and easements, and trespass and adverse possession.

  • Antony Ball

    Antony specialises in family law, advising on divorce, financial disputes, pre and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes, injunctions and all matters relating to children where there are disputes between family members or concerns involving the local authority.

    He is also an accredited Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer and member of the Law Society Family Law Advanced Panel, The Law Society Children Law Scheme and Resolution Accredited Specialist.

    Arjun currently assists senior fee earners within the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team by providing support in various legal areas, including aspects of commercial litigation, intellectual property matters, probate disputes and residential property disputes.

  • Ashley Kiernan-Firth

    Ashley is a trainee solicitor currently working with our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team assisting in all aspects relating to commercial and personal disputes. Ashley has been an integral member of our team since joining in 2014 as a paralegal with our Residential Property team. Ashley commenced his training contract with the firm in September 2016.

    He has previously completed seats within our Insolvency and Commercial Property teams and has a particular interest in litigation and dispute resolution

  • Barry Warne

    Barry advises on all aspects of employment law, specialising in TUPE and with considerable experience in dealing with high value executive severance negotiations. He’s also an experienced employment tribunal advocate and an accredited mediator with a success rate of over 90%.

    Until joining Keebles in 2002, Barry was head of employment at a national firm of solicitors. Earlier in his career he practiced more widely in litigation but came to focus entirely on employment law and particularly on Employment Tribunal advocacy. Many of his cases have been reported, including Barber -v- Guardian Royal Exchange.

    Bonita specialises in advising on the sale, purchase, transfer of equity and re-mortgage of all forms of residential property.

    With over 5 years’ experience as residential property solicitor, Bonita has been a key member of our team since returning to our firm in 2016.

    Bonita also acts for property developers and investors on a wide variety of residential property acquisitions and disposals.

  • Camilla Donnell

    Camilla is an assistant in the residential property team and provides support for the team in connection with the sale, purchase, transfer of equity and re-mortgage of all forms of residential property. She supports Bonita Wolfenden.

    Camilla is new to the residential property team having moved from the personal injury department. Camilla has been with the firm since July 2007.

    Carys specialises in advising on all forms of commercial arrangements and contracts including standard terms and conditions, supply agreements, distribution, agency and franchising agreements, outsourcing arrangements and confidentiality agreements (NDAs).

    Since qualifying as a commercial solicitor in 2004, Carys has gained a wealth of experience advising all kinds of businesses, from sole traders to international PLCs. She has significant expertise in the manufacturing sector.

  • Charise Marsden

    Charise specialises in commercial debt recovery, advising and assisting clients both prior to and following the commencement of legal proceedings. She also regularly provides bespoke in-house training for clients and presents on issues relating to debt recovery and credit control.

    Charise boasts over 16 years’ experience as a debt collection professional, however, she began her legal career as an office junior and successfully progressed to her current role as department manager.

  • Charlotte Harris

    Charlotte is a member of the firm’s Commercial Property team. She deals with all aspects of property transactions including sales and purchases of portfolio transactions, commercial leases and property management. She also advises on the property elements of corporate transactions.

    Charlotte is also a member of our Healthcare Team, advising on the property elements of care home acquisitions and sales.

  • Charlotte Higgins

    Charlotte assists the Partners in the Corporate Department and also provides advice on various commercial agreements. Having been in the legal profession for eight years, Charlotte Higgins qualified in September 2017, and joined our team in March 2018. Charlotte specialises in all aspects of corporate work including mergers and acquisitions, group reorganisations and refinancing, management buyouts, and general corporate governance.

    Charlotte also advises on a wide range of commercial agreements, such as services agreements, terms and conditions and distributor agreements.

  • Charlotte Ollerenshaw

    Charlotte specialises in advising on the complete range of Employment Law issues, mainly acting on behalf of employers. Her expertise covers both contentious and non-contentious matters, including settlement agreements, drafting employment policies, performance and absence management and disciplinaries and grievances.

    She is a member of the Healthcare Sector and regularly advises care homes on how to manage day to day employment law issues. Charlotte also advises a wide range of clients such as manufacturers and advises individuals in relation to settlement agreements.

    A key member of our team since joining Keebles in 2014, Clare acts for property developers and investors on a wide variety of acquisitions and disposals, as well as lenders and borrowers on secured lending transactions.

  • Craig Chappell

    Working with a wide range of local and national clients, Craig advises on all aspects of debt recovery, both before and after commencement of legal proceedings, in order to provide low cost and effective recovery of outstanding debt.

    Craig has been a key member of our debt recovery team since joining in 2016 and acts for an extensive range of commercial clients, providing comprehensive advice to reach the most cost-effective solution in respect of all commercial debt issues.

    Craig undertakes a wide variety of commercial property related transactions including sales, purchases and leases of commercial property and the development and site assembly of commercial and residential estates. Craig also specialises in secured property lending, acting for a number of institutional banks and private lenders.

    With over 12 years’ experience as a solicitor, Craig has played an important role in our team since joining in 2006.

    Craig specialises in both residential and commercial property development, assisting with site acquisition, providing advice on site assembly and infrastructure and secured funding.

    Daniel has over 30 years’ experience in Information Technology and joined the practice in January 2001. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and works within our Information Technology department. Daniel is also the practice’s Health & Safety Co-ordinator.

  • Daniel Wilson

    Daniel specialises in advising on the purchase, sale and remortgage of all forms of freehold and leasehold residential property. With over 6 years’ experience as a Residential Conveyancer, Daniel has been a key member of our team since joining in 2017, having previously worked in one of the country’s largest conveyancing firms.

    Daniel acts for residential clients on sales of freehold, leasehold and re-mortgage cases. He has a keen attention to detail and a determination to serve his clients’ needs.

    David specialises in the administration of trusts and their tax affairs. He is also involved with the administration of estates and tax planning.

    With over 30 years’ experience as a Certified Accountant, David has been an essential member of our team since joining in 2004. Prior to this, he had spent over 20 years working for accountancy firms.

  • David Mattocks

    David is a chartered accountant and has worked in professional services firms for 20 years. He has been the firm’s Finance Director since April 2008 and became Chief Executive in May 2018.

    He has responsibility for the day to day management of the firm and ensuring it has the financial and administrative systems to enable it to deliver its services to clients in an effective and efficient manner. He has played a major role in the strategic development of the firm in recent years.

    Doug specialises in advising on the purchase, sale, development, letting and portfolio management of all forms of commercial property and related security and planning matters. Doug has a wealth of experience in advising on commercial and residential property, insolvency, general commercial, franchising, wills and trusts. He currently acts for a diverse range of clients including individuals, developers, investors, trustees, charities, private company pension schemes, individual SIPPs and lenders, on a wide variety of matters, with an emphasis on leasehold work in connection with retail, office and industrial investment and related portfolio management.

    Elliott specialises in probate and estate administration. With over 10 years’ experience as a paralegal, Elliott has been a highly effective member of our team since joining in 2014.

    Elliott’s area of focus is primarily probate files, working closely with family members to ensure the wishes of their loved ones are carried out with a degree of sensitivity and efficiency.

    Emily advises on a range of probate matters including challenging the validity of wills and claims for provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.

    Emily also assists corporate clients in commercial disputes including breach of contract and money claims.

    Emily has represented both private individuals and corporate clients on various legal issues ranging from defective goods and breach of contract to private nuisance.

    George has been a solicitor for more than 35 years. Born in Sheffield, he trained in Liverpool and came back in 1975 to join the practice where his father was a solicitor.

    His key areas of expertise are estate and trust planning, administration of estates and the formation and administration of trusts for high net worth individuals.

    George is a member of the Probate Section (Law Society) and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

    George provides comprehensive debt recovery services (both before and after the commencement of legal proceedings) to a wide range of clients across the UK, advising and working with them to find the most commercial solutions.

    George has played an important role within our debt recovery team since joining in 2016. And acts for a wide range of commercial clients, providing comprehensive advice to reach the best and most cost-effective solution in respect of all commercial debt issues.

    Giles specialises in high value commercial disputes, contentious intellectual property and also advises with regard to international trade issues and sports law.

    With over 25 years’ experience as a solicitor, Giles spent the first decade of his career at a leading law firm in the City of London and then enjoyed spells at two international firms. On returning to Sheffield he has been a key member of our team since joining in 2013.

    Giles acts for a wide range of regional and national clients with a particular focus on the manufacturing, creative and digital and sports sectors.

    Henry originally joined Keebles as a trainee in 2012 before qualifying into the Corporate Team.     Holly has been an integral member of our team since joining in 2016 and acts for a number of property developers and investors with large property portfolios held for development and investment purposes. Her experience extends to dealing with mixed use and commercial sales and purchases, refinance portfolios and transfers of equity.

    James specialises in advising on the purchase, sale and lettings of all forms of commercial and industrial property. He also guides insolvency practitioners on the property elements of insolvency procedures.

    James acts for property developers and investors on a wide variety of acquisitions and disposals along with their ongoing portfolio management. He also advises landlord and tenant clients across a number of sectors including office, industrial, not-for-profit and renewable energy.

    James also has significant experience advising both banks and insolvency practitioners on all property matters.

    James is an Associate in the firm’s Corporate Team and specialised in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, disposals, company restructuring and re-organisations as well as general company law matters.

    James joined the firm in September 2012 before qualifying as a solicitor in 2014 and has extensive experience in acting for a variety of clients including private and public companies, management teams and financial institutions across a wide range of industries. These include healthcare, creative and digital, hospitality, with a more specific interest in the manufacturing sector.

    James specialises in commercial and property litigation. He handles a varied caseload including disputes arising out of contracts and property matters, shareholder disputes as well as professional negligence.

    James joined the firm as a trainee in 2014, qualifying as a solicitor in 2016 before joining the Leeds office litigation & dispute resolution department. He advises and represents companies and individuals, whether as claimant or defendant. He has a keen interest in property litigation and is part of our Specialist Property Litigation team.

  • Jane Hallatt

    Jane assists with the purchase, sale and lettings of all forms of commercial and industrial property.

    Jane studied law at the University of Sheffield and worked as a legal assistant in a law firm in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area before joining the team as a paralegal in 2017. She acts for property developers and investors on a wide variety of acquisitions and disposals along with their ongoing portfolio management.

  • Jaspreet Birring

    Jaspreet specialises in advising on all aspects of residential property transactions. She also has experience in leasehold properties, unregistered land, right to buy and right to acquire purchases.

    Jaspreet studied at the University of Huddersfield where she obtained her Master of Law and Practice (MLP) degree, a four-year course incorporating the LLB and LPC. Jaspreet has worked in residential property since leaving university.

  • Jo Smith

    Jo deals with all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency work and acts in the main for insolvency practitioners, company directors and individual and commercial debtors.

    She specialises in corporate insolvency, concentrating on administrations and company voluntary arrangements. Jo regularly advises administrators in connection with any issues arising, including property issues, employees, ROT and priority of charges. Jo is adept at providing practical and precise advice in time-pressured situations. Jo also has considerable experience of contentious insolvency.

  • Joanne Everist

    Joanne is responsible for the operation of the HR function at the firm in addition to supporting the development and maintenance of the quality system, Lexcel.

    Joanne is a Human Resources Manager with over 15 years’ experience and is certified through the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

    An Associate Member of CIPD, Joanne is a highly dependable and quality-driven experienced HR Manager with over 20 years’ management experience across a range of sectors such as law, insurance and the telecommunications industry

    Jonathan specialises in advising on the acquisition, disposal and lettings of all forms of commercial property. He also advises on the acquisition and disposal of high value residential property, including the acquisition of sites for development across the country.

  • Kate Langley

    Kate is a trainee solicitor in our Corporate department who is currently in her second seat of the training contract, having carried out family law as her first seat. Kate’s work involves assisting the Corporate team with sales, mergers and acquisitions as well as company incorporations, trademark matters and a range of commercial work.

  • Kate Large

    Kate is a Trainee Solicitor in the firm and currently specialises in recovering service charges, ground rent and rent charges. She has got a good background with advising on the purchase and sale of all forms of commercial and industrial property.

  • Laura Giles

    Laura is an Associate in Keebles Corporate Team. She advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters including start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, corporate borrowing, shareholders’ agreements, governance, general company law and a broad spectrum of commercial agreements. Laura joined our team from the corporate team of a leading national charity and education law practice.

  • Lauren Pickard

    Lauren advises on all aspects of Employment Law including advice about disciplinaries, grievances, Employment Tribunal claims and advocacy, drafting service agreements and settlement agreements for senior executives, TUPE and collective consultations, and assisting the Corporate Team on the Employment Law aspects of their corporate transactions.

    Lauren acts for a wide variety of clients including manufacturers, fabricators, medical and dentistry practices, accountants and charities with their day to day employment law queries as well as undertaking projects such as large scale changes to terms of employment, redundancies, and complex TUPE transfers.

  • Leanne Farey

  • Lesley Ford

    Lesley assists in all aspects of residential conveyancing including, but not limited to, transactions involving freehold, leasehold, transfer of equity, remortgages and company property transactions.

    With over 10 years’ experience working within the residential property sector, and formally, as a member of the Institute of Legal Executives (CiLEX), Lesley has experience in managing her own files from inception to closure and is able to assist on all aspects of property enquiries.

    Since joining Keebles in 2016, Lesley has become a highly valued member of Patrick Kelly’s team based in our Leeds office.

    Liam has been working in legal IT since 2002, and is the IT Systems Administrator after joining Keebles in 2011 originally as a Case Management Developer.

  • Linda Gregory

    Linda specialises in all types of residential conveyancing across England and Wales, including auctions and transfers of deceased estates.

    Linda joined the firm in 1994, qualifying asa Licensed Conveyancer in 2013 and is key member of the residential property team. She has experience in all aspects of residential conveyancing including leasehold and freehold sales and purchases, remortgages, buy to let, newbuild, transfer of equity, auction sales and dealing with property as part of a deceased estate.

     

  • Lisa Duffy

    Lisa has a broad level of expertise in all aspects of Family Law, including divorce, separation, finance issues arising on separation, cohabitation, arrangements for children and domestic abuse. She also prepares Change of Name Deeds. Lisa works with clients on a private paying basis and with those requiring the assistance of Legal Aid.

    Lisa is also a member of Resolution (a national organisation of family lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce, separation and other family problems), and she subscribes to their code of conduct.

    Lisa is a highly experienced HR Officer whose role is to deal with the day to day administration of the Human Resources Department.

    Lisa has been with the firm over 20 years and has worked in HR since 2008. Prior to this, she was PA to the Senior Partner. Lisa has a Level 3 Certificate in Human Resources.

    Louise is currently in her second seat rotation, working in the commercial property team and building experience in all areas of commercial property. She completed her first seat in the litigation department, where she gained experience in various areas of litigation and advocacy.

    Mario joined the firm in June 2015 originally working with our Personal Injury department as a Paralegal. Mario moved over to our Commercial Property department is June 2016 where he acts for investors on a wide variety of acquisitions and disposals along with their ongoing portfolio management. He also advises landlord clients across a number of sectors.

    Matt is a Partner and Head of Keebles Corporate Team. He specialises in private equity transactions, domestic and cross-border M&A, capital markets fundraisings, corporate reorganisations and restructurings, joint ventures, general company law and institutional lending and refinancing.

    With over 16 years’ experience, Matt is recognised as being one of the region’s leading corporate lawyers. Having been nominated and received numerous awards and accolades for the deals he advises on, Matt provides his clients with a first-rate service underpinned by the technical expertise of his team and client-focussed delivery.

    Michael specialises in advising on a wide variety of corporate finance matters, including MBOs, trade acquisitions and disposals and private equity transactions, with particular experience in the manufacturing and creative and digital industries sectors.

    He advises a wide range of clients, from start-ups and early stage ventures to large multinationals and public companies, on all aspects of corporate law, with a particular focus on manufacturing and high-tech businesses.

  • Michael Likupe

    Michael specialises in advising on the purchase and sale of all forms of residential and commercial property and on the purchase and sale of small businesses. He also advises on leasehold enfranchisement and purchasing freehold reversions.

    With over 5 years’ experience as a Property Solicitor, Michael has established himself as a key member of our team since joining in 2016. Prior to this Michael worked in the family and commercial dispute resolution practice areas.

    Michael acts for individuals and investors on a wide variety of acquisitions and disposals and uses his wide experience to offer practical and pragmatic advice to his clients.

  • Michael Peacock

    Michael heads our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team and specialises in advising companies how best to avoid disputes and how to resolve them in the most commercial fashion.After 16 years at

    DLA Piper, Michael joined us as a Partner in 2009 and has led the litigation and dispute resolution team since 2016.

    He has represented corporate institutions and high network individuals in a number of jurisdictions and has been recommended in both the Chambers and Legal 500 directories.

    Michele specialises in advising on all aspects of private client work, with an emphasis on high value tax, trusts and estates. She runs the private client team and heads up the private client and charity sector.

    Michele has been with the firm for almost two decades, having trained and worked in the region for 26 years. She is Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners qualified and noted in the Legal 500. As well as heading up the private client team she is the Under Sheriff for South Yorkshire and sits on the boards of South Yorkshire Community Foundation and Taptonholme.

  • Natalie Buckingham

    Natalie is assistant to Patrick Kelly, offering a high level of support on residential purchases and sales, both freehold and leasehold matters. She assists on transactions involving a company’s sale or purchase of a property and all types of transfers of equity and re-mortgages.

     

  • Natalie Nattress

    Natalie heads the Leeds Office and the Insolvency Team. She specialises in all aspects of contentious insolvency on behalf of insolvency practitioners, directors and individuals facing financial issues.

    She acts for insolvency practitioners, LPA receivers, lenders, directors and on all matters facing individuals with financial issues including deceased estates.

    She specialises in the recovery on realisation of assets in high net worth insolvent estates, which has previously included realisation of boats, helicopters and super cars, together with realisations in relation to significant pension proceeds held out of the jurisdiction of the UK.

  • Owen Brown

    Owen specialises in claimant personal injury, claiming compensation for those injured in accidents or who have developed occupational disease.

    Owen acts for those injured at work, in road traffic accidents or elsewhere and individuals who have developed diseases through exposure to dangerous substances such as asbestos. He is accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers as a Senior Litigator. Owen also acts as the firm’s Risk and Compliance Partner.

  • Patrick Kelly

    Paddy specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing including leasehold enfranchisement and extensions, block management, trusts of property and property development.

    Paddy conducted his own property legal practice based in Leeds city centre from 1987 until he joined Keebles in 2013 to develop the residential conveyancing offering of the firm in the Leeds area. It is likely that Paddy will have dealt with a transaction of some description in most streets of West Yorkshire and such familiarity brings irreplaceable experience to home movers.

    As a long standing member of the Association of Leasehold Practitioners and holding a Diploma in Planning and Environmental Law Paddy has a particular interest in these fields.

  • Paul Goel

    Paul has extensive experience of both corporate and commercial property work. His corporate experience involves dealing with acquisitions and disposals, shareholder agreements and franchise agreements.

    Pauls Commercial Property portfolio encompasses commercial and institutional clients, involving both freehold and leasehold transactions.

  • Paul Newbert

    Paul specialises in residential conveyancing, dealing with property sales and purchases and preparing shorthold tenancy agreements.

    With over 23 years’ experience in residential conveyancing, Paul has been an invaluable member of our team since joining in 2014.

    Paul not only acts for private clients but also acts for property developers and investors in a variety of property sales and purchases. He also prepares tenancy agreements for private landlords.

  • Paul Pennington

    Paul has over 40 years experience in handling a wide variety of commercial property transactions and corporate acquisitions and mergers.

    Paul has particular experience in commercial and residential property development and for a number of years was chairman of a property development company carrying out projects in Yorkshire and West London and understands the industry from a practical as well as legal viewpoint.

  • Paul Trudgill

    Paul is a Partner in our Corporate Team. He has particular experience of M&A transactions involving MBO/MBI’s, sales and acquisitions across a range of sectors and particularly in the manufacturing sector.

    Paul has been with the firm since 1998 and has been a partner since 2002. He was named Corporate Lawyer of the year in 2014 at the South Yorkshire Insider Dealmaker’s awards. Most of Paul’s work is transactional in the corporate finance sector where he acts for OMB/SME’s, banks and other financial institutions in connection with a whole range of activities from MBO/MBI’s through joint ventures and on to sales and acquisitions.

    Peter is a solicitor in Keebles Corporate Team. He specialises in corporate finance, with particular emphasis on M&A, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and general company law. He also guides litigation practitioners on the corporate elements of resolving shareholder disputes.a

  • Rachel Crookes

    Rachel heads our Debt Recovery Department and is also a Partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department.

    She specialises in advising companies and individuals on options for recovering sums owed and how best to resolve commercial disputes.

  • Richard Smith

    Richard heads up our Commercial Property team and specialises in the acquisition, development and subsequent sale or letting of commercial property, the purchase and sale of investment properties and the acquisition or letting of properties for business occupiers.

    Richard advises regional and national clients on all aspects of real estate transactions. With particular expertise in development and investment schemes his work includes all aspects of the development process including site acquisition and assembly.

  • Robert Brown

    Robert has specialised in both Corporate and Personal Insolvency for the whole of his career.

    He acts for both Insolvency Practitioners and also for Companies their Directors and Individuals caught up in the Insolvency Process.

    Robert has been with the Firm for over 40 years and whilst he has now retired as a Partner he continues to act for Clients on a regular basis many of whom are long standing and for whom he has acted for many years.

  • Rory Conwill

    Rory advises businesses and individuals on a range of corporate matters, including acquisitions and disposals, reorganisations, company structure arrangements, share schemes and equity investments.

    Having trained at the firm, Rory has been an important member of the corporate team since 2012 and has acted for a variety of clients, including private companies, banks and financial institutions, entrepreneurs and investors.

    Rory is also a member of the firm’s healthcare team, which specialises in acting on behalf of care home owners and medical professionals.

    Roxanne Woolliams assists with all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency matters.

    Roxanne joined the Insolvency Department in 2017. With over 5 years’ insolvency experience and two years’ as a Chartered Legal Executive, she has become a key member of our team, acting for insolvency practitioners, individuals and company directors.

  • Russell Bainbridge

    Russell is a solicitor in Keebles Corporate Team. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, lending and refinancing, MBOs, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and providing general company law advice.

    Russell joined the firm as a trainee in 2014 before qualifying into the Corporate Team in 2016. Russell has worked with a variety of clients including local SMEs and listed companies across a range of sectors from engineering and manufacturing to retail and healthcare.

  • Sarah Burton

    Sarah has a background in offshore legal work and has previously specialised in high value and complex litigation, often with a cross border element. Since returning to the mainland Sarah has developed her interests in property litigation and all forms of business disputes.

    Sarah acts for both businesses and individuals in relation to a wide range of disputes and has her Higher Rights of Audience enabling her to appear in the higher civil courts. Sarah’s years in practice means that she has experience of many types of disputes and prides herself on providing detailed and strategic advice.

  • Sarah Power

    Sarah advises clients in relation to a variety of commercial and personal disputes, including alternative forms of dispute resolution and litigation through the courts or specialist tribunals.

    Sarah acts for both business and individual clients on a wide range of disputed matters. Her areas of specialism are property litigation including landlord and tenant disputes, partnership disputes, contentious probate and contested business rates. Sarah also provides specialist advice on data protection compliance and GDPR.

  • Sarah-Muna Hack

    Sarah specialises in assisting on all aspects of residential property transactions. She also has experience in new build conveyancing including the help to buy scheme, leasehold properties, unregistered land, right to buy purchases, and commercial transactions.

  • Shelley Price

    Shelley is a 2nd year Trainee Solicitor in the family law department working on a variety of cases, ranging from divorce and matrimonial finances to children matters.

  • Sherelle O'Brien

    Sherelle specialises in private client matters such as wills, probate, powers of attorney and Court of Protection applications. Sherelle also deals with administration of estate matters and can assist in obtaining probate and letters of administration in intestacy matters.

    Sherelle has been part of the private client team for a number of years and qualified as a solicitor in 2017 after completing her training with the firm.

    Simon has significant experience of commercial real estate work and is a skilled member of our team. He acts for investors, property developers and commercial clients in acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant, asset management, property finance and property development matters.

    Simon is the Marketing Manager at Keebles and has worked in Marketing for over 10 years.

    He has responsibility for the day to day management of the Marketing, Events and Business Development.

  • Stefanie Kohler

    Stefanie specialises in residential property sales, purchases, transfers of equity and re-mortgages.

    With over 5 years’ experience as a Licensed Conveyancer, Stefanie is a key member of our team since joining in 1995, progressing from her initial role of secretary to that of a Licensed Conveyancer.

    Stefanie acts for existing clients of the firm and new clients, many of whom are recommended to her and also assists our Private Client Department and Family Department with transfers of equity.

  • Steve Denner

    Steve is head of our in-house IT team and is responsible for the efficient operation of the firm’s IT systems and infrastructure, including its telecommunications systems. He also sits on the firm’s Operations Board and Strategic Risk Committee.

    With over 10 years’ experience as an IT Manager and 20 years in the IT industry, Steve has been a key member of our team since joining in 2003.

  • Steve Stanier

    Steve specialises in advising on the purchase, sale and lettings of all forms of commercial and industrial property, with a particular emphasis on all types of development work.

    Steve acts for property developers, housebuilders and investors on a wide variety of acquisitions and disposals along with their ongoing portfolio management. He also advises a number of landlord and tenant clients across a number of sectors including retail, not-for-profit and hospitality.

  • Susan Martin

    Susan advises on the purchase, sale and lettings of all forms of commercial property, possessing an extensive experience in dealing with residential transactions for both developers and investors.

    Susan acts for a range of commercial clients including landlords and tenants, property developers and investors on a wide variety of commercial transactions. Susan specialises in site set up for developers for both commercial and residential development sites.

  • Syed Islam

    Syed is a second year trainee solicitor currently in the Insolvency Team dealing with personal and corporate insolvency work.

    Syed completed his law degree and LPC in Sheffield and started at the firm in 2015 as a paralegal. He commenced his training contract with the firm in 2016 having completed seats in Commercial Litigation, Commercial Property, Corporate, along with his present seat. In his current seat, Syed works side by side with Insolvency Officers to achieve best goals for insolvent companies, including administration and company voluntary agreements.

  • Thomas Freeman

    Thomas specialises in commercial and property disputes. He acts for commercial and private landlords, tenants and landowners and advises upon property related disputes of every kind. He also advises businesses with contractual disputes and deals with disputes between directors and shareholders.

    He has extensive experience of all forms of property litigation, including lease renewals, the exercise of break options, trespass and boundary issues, disputes concerning rights of way, adverse possession, business rates and the Electronic Communications Code.

  • Thomas Milner

    Thomas specialises in advising on the purchase, sale and lettings of all forms of commercial and industrial property. This includes work for property developers and small to medium sized companies. He also provides advice on a range of freehold and leasehold properties including auctions, secured lending landlord and tenant matters.

  • Vanessa Fox

    Vanessa specialises in advising on family matters including divorce, financial matters on separation, cohabitation disputes, pre-nuptial agreements and children. She is head of the Family Department.

    She assists clients with resolving financial issues, children disputes, and property disputes between cohabitees, both through the court and in collaborative process. Vanessa specialises in common sense, clear advice at an early stage with a view to minimising distress and maximising cooperation after separation. Vanessa has been mentioned in the Legal 500 as a specialist in this area.

  • Victoria Marcus

    Victoria specialises in all aspects of residential property transactions including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfer of equity and right to buy purchases.

    With over 10 years’ experience as a solicitor, Victoria has been a highly valued member of our team since joining in 2014. Prior to joining our firm, Victoria spent 6 years practicing both Conveyancing and Wills and Probate.

    From our Leeds City Centre office, Victoria has experience in a wide variety of property transactions and deals with clients both locally and on a national level.
